My boyfriend and I were visiting from out of town & wanted some catfish. As I was doing my google restaurant search, I came across this place. The reviews are 100% accurate. It is super cozy & homelike upon arriving. I like how small it is as it makes it a more intimate setting. There was parking right by the door as well. There were so many options on the menu, that I didn’t even know what to pick. All sounded so good. I got the crawfish mac & cheese and it was perfectly creamy, cheesy , and delicious. As far as my meal, I got the blackened catfish, shrimp, and sweet potato risotto. The seafood was grilled to perfection along with their sauces making it more flavorful. I also love how it is freshly cooked to order. For the season & dessert, I got the pumpkin stuffed beignets. Sweet but not overly sweet and the whip cream made it better. I can’t wait to come back as the service was great. And the staff was friendly.

This was a fun spot that my daughters loved more than me. It had a fun pond with fish and alligator statues they enjoyed talking to. We sat outside, and it was lovely minus the flies. The drinks were ok.. I ordered drinks from the menu and I believe that the drinks must be made in batches. And when I ordered a drink off the menu, it was much better. So I would suggest ordering something you know you like off menu when you drink a cocktail. Food was great! People were great. Id go again but maybe just cause the girls loved playing around the pond for a bit while we waited for the food.

Whoever cooks here.....knows what they're doing. Ok so parking was not a big deal at all. We parked right out front (BUT we arrived at 5:30 so) Seated immediately. They seated us in the little pavilion thingy. Which I thought was super cool! Until we realized that two sides were covered with thick clear plastic. No air flow. And no way of removing the curtains, we asked and they said no. One side of the table had a pleasant breeze while the other side was hating life. I'm sure they have their reasons but y'all.....it's June in Atlanta. Air flow is needed. Ok so food: Raw oysters were good. Hard to screw those up though. No hot sauce on the table. There should always be some form of hot sauce with raw oysters. Yes we could have asked for it but still. GUMBO. Listen can we talk about this gumbo because I'll give you 116 reasons why you need to try it. Seriously I considered licking that bowl. Calamari I am told was good. As well as the shrimp po boy. My friend's salad was requested with no tomatoes, but it arrived with tomatoes. So not a huge deal. I don't get people who don't like tomatoes, but still just pointing out the experience. A couple of us ordered the fried basket. Really good. Ok so risotto. Y'all. Best EVER. The flavors in here are mind-blowing. So what had happened was, since the pavilion was super stuffy and hot, we moved to a table outside. Once we did that, the service went from good to....not good. As in, our checks and cards sat there so long that one of us had to trot them inside to the bar and ask for the manager to process them so we could go on with our evening. None of this detracts from my 5 star rating. Just maybe sit inside or closer to the restaurant if you want better service. Oh and the place is totally cute btw. Recommended.

Atmosphere was great! Definitely feels like you’re in the heart of New Orleans. The sweet tea was very good. Spicy gumbo was delicious. Crawfish Mac and cheese was good but could’ve used some seasoning. And the winner of the night was the PRALINE BEIGNETS! Absolute chefs kiss!! Will be back just for the beignets and the cute cups!!

Parking was super convenient, with plenty of spaces available on both sides of the restaurant. The seating options were great—cozy indoors and a really nice outdoor area if you prefer dining outside. We ordered the alligator bites appetizer plus Jambalaya, pork ribeye steak, fried basket, and the burger—and every single dish was absolutely delicious! Each plate was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. It’s rare to have four different dishes all be this good, but they nailed it. Our server was incredibly nice and sweet, which made the whole experience even better. Friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. We’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!

The food here was excellent, really enjoyed the crab dip and shrimp alfredo pasta. Both came out hot and quick. Service was awesome, and the restaurant itself was well decorated. Parking was easily accessible, also had a nice garden/pond out front.

Flatlands Bourbon and Bayou: Southern Comfort Meets Louisiana Soul If you’re craving that deep, soulful Southern flavor with a touch of Louisiana charm, Flatlands Bourbon and Bayou is the spot. From the moment we sat down, the vibe was warm, the cocktails were flowing, and the food? Unforgettable. Let’s start with the star of the night, the catfish nuggets. Crispy, tender, and paired with the most delicious BBQ hot sauce we’ve ever tasted. Shonda was this close to asking for a bottle to take home. (Flatlands, please sell it by the jar, you’ve got something special there!) Then came the fried goat cheese drizzled with honey: sweet, tangy, and downright addictive. If heaven had an appetizer menu, this would be on it. For entrées, he went for the Catfish Pontchartrain with dirty rice. The flavors were rich, though he thought it could’ve used just a touch more seasoning to really make it sing. Still, a solid, hearty plate. She ordered the Louisiana Fried Chicken, perfectly crisp and juicy, with sides that deserve their own spotlight: red beans & rice, Cajun street corn, and the unexpected showstopper, sweet potato & brown sugar risotto. Creamy, sweet, and soul-warming, this dish alone is worth the trip. Dessert sealed the deal. The bread pudding was soft and buttery, while the praline-stuffed beignets were pure decadence, like New Orleans met a sugar dream and decided to stay awhile. Our waitress was phenomenal: attentive, kind, and genuinely excited about the menu (and that energy made the experience even better). Final Verdict: Worth every dime. Flatlands Bourbon and Bayou is where comfort food meets class, and every bite feels like a Southern hug. We’ll be back — and next time, we’re leaving with a bottle of that BBQ hot sauce.

Hard to decide what to eat. It all sounded so good and as we looked at other plates we wanted to try theirs too. Add the gumbo to whatever you choose and you will leave happy. The best Cajun meal I have ever had outside of Louisiana.
